Birchat Hamazon—Grace After Meals
Deuteronomy 8:10
When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the Lord your G-d for the good land which He has given you.
FIRST BLESSING: FOR NOURISHMENT / HaBrachah HaRishonah: Birchat Hazzan
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, הַזָּן אֶת הָעוֹלָם כֻּלּוֹ בְּטוּבוֹ בְּחֵן בְּחֶֽסֶד וּבְרַחֲמִים, הוּא נוֹתֵן לֶֽחֶם לְכָל בָּשָׂר כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ. וּבְטוּבוֹ הַגָּדוֹל תָּמִיד לֹא חָֽסַר לָֽנוּ, וְאַל יֶחְסַר לָֽנוּ מָזוֹן לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד. בַּעֲבוּר שְׁמוֹ הַגָּדוֹל, כִּי הוּא אֵל זָן וּמְפַרְנֵס לַכֹּל וּמֵטִיב לַכֹּל, וּמֵכִין מָזוֹן לְכָל בְּרִיּוֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר בָּרָא. כָּאָמוּר: פּוֹתֵֽחַ אֶת יָדֶֽךָ, וּמַשְׂבִּֽיעַ לְכָל חַי רָצוֹן. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, הַזָּן אֶת הַכֹּל:
Baruch atah Adonai, Eoheinu melech ha-olam, hazan et ha-olam kulo b’tuvo b’chein b’chesed uv’rachamim hu notein lechem l’chol vasar ki l’olam chasdo. Uv’tuvo hagadol tamid lo chasar lanu, v’al yechsar lanu mazon l’olam va-ed. Ba-avur sh’mo hagadol, ki hu eil zan um’farneis lakol umeitiv lakol, umeichin mazon l’chol b’riyotav asher bara. Baruch atah Adonai, hazan et hakol:
Blessed are You, HaShem our God, King of the Universe, who nourishes the whole world in goodness, with grace, kindness, and compassion. He gives bread to all flesh, for His mercy endures forever. And through His great goodness we have never lacked, nor will we lack food forever, for the sake of His great name. For He is God, Who nourishes and sustains all, and does good to all, and prepares food for all His creatures which He created. Blessed are You, HaShem, Who nourishes all. Amen.
SECOND BLESSING: FOR THE LAND / HaBrachah HaShniyah: Birchat Ha’eretz
נֽוֹדֶה לְּךָ, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, עַל שֶׁהִנְחַֽלְתָּ לַאֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ אֶֽרֶץ חֶמְדָּה טוֹבָה וּרְחָבָה, וְעַל שֶׁהוֹצֵאתָֽנוּ, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, מֵאֶֽרֶץ מִצְרַֽים, וּפְדִיתָֽנוּ מִבֵּית עֲבָדִים, וְעַל בְּרִיתְךָ שֶׁחָתַֽמְתָּ בִּבְשָׂרֵֽנוּ, וְעַל תּוֹרָתְךָ שֶׁלִּמַּדְתָּֽנוּ, וְעַל חֻקֶּֽיךָ שֶׁהוֹדַעְתָּֽנוּ, וְעַל חַיִּים חֵן וָחֶֽסֶד שֶׁחוֹנַנְתָּֽנוּ, וְעַל אֲכִילַת מָזוֹן שָׁאַתָּה זָן וּמְפַרְנֵס אוֹתָֽנוּ תָּמִיד, בְּכָל יוֹם וּבְכָל עֵת וּבְכָל שָׁעָה.
Nodeh l’cha Adonai eloheinu al shehinchalta la-avoteinu, eretz chemdah tovah ur’chavah, v’al shehotzeitanu Adonai eloheinu mei-eretz mitzram, uf’ditanu, mibeit avadim, v’al b’rit’cha shechatamta bivsareinu, v’al torat’cha shelimadtanu, v’al chukecha shehodatanu v’al chayim chein vachesed shechonantanu, v’al achilat mazon sha-atah zan um’farneis otanu tamid, b’chol yom uv’chol eit uv’chol sha-ah:

וְעַל הַנִּסִּים, וְעַל הַפֻּרְקָן, וְעַל הַגְּבוּרוֹת, וְעַל הַתְּשׁוּעוֹת, וְעַל הַנִּפְלָאוֹת, וְעַל הַנֶּחָמוֹת, וְעַל הַמִּלְחָמוֹת, שֶׁעָשִֽׂיתָ לַאֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם בַּזְּמַן הַזֶּה.
On Chanukah and Purim
Al hanisim v’al hapurkan v’al hag’vurot v’al hat’shuot v’al hamilchamot she-asita la-avoteinu bayamim haheim baz’man hazeh.
And for the miracles and for salvation, and for the mighty deeds and for the victories and for the wonders and for the consolations and for the battles that You performed for our forefathers in those days at this time.

On Chanukah: Bimei Matityahu ben Yochanan kohein gadol chashmonai uvanav, k’she-am’dah malchut yavan har’sha-ah al am’cha yisra-eil, l’hashkicham toratecha, ul’ha-aviram meichukei r’tzonecha. v’atah b’rachamecha harabim, amadta lahem b’eit tzaratam, ravta et rivam, danta et dinam, nakamta et nikmatam. masarta giborim b’yad chalashim, v’rabim b’yad m’atim, ut’meiim b’yad t’horim, ursha’im b’yad tzadikim, v’zeidim b’yad os’kei toratecha, ul’cha asita sheim gadol v’kadosh b’olamecha, ul’am’cha yisra-eil asita t’shuah g’dolah ufurkan k’hayom hazeh. v’achar kein bau vanecha lidvir veitecha, ufinu et heichalecha, v’tiharu et mikdashecha, v’hidliku neirot b’chatzrot kod’shecha, v’kav’u sh’monat y’mei chanukah eilu, l’hodot ul’haleil l’shimcha hagadol.
In the days of Mattityahu, the son of Yochanan the High Priest, the Hasmonean, and his sons, when the wicked kingdom of Greece rose up against Your people Israel, to make them forget Your Torah and to compel them to stray from the statutes of Your will. But You in Your compassion which is abundant, stood up for them in the time of their distress. You championed their cause, judged their claim, and You avenged their wrong. You delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the impure into the hands of the pure, the wicked into the hands of the righteous, and the willful sinners into the hands of the diligent students of Your Torah. For Yourself You made a Name that is great and holy, in Your world, and for Your people Israel You performed a victory of great magnitude and a salvation as this very day. Thereafter came Your children to the Holy of Holies of Your House, cleansed Your Temple, purified Your holy site, and kindled lights in the courtyards of Your Sanctuary; and they established the eight days of Chanukah, to express thanks and praise to Your Name that is great.

בִּימֵי מָרְדְּכַי וְאֶסְתֵּר בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה, כְּשֶׁעָמַד עֲלֵיהֶם הָמָן הָרָשָׁע, בִּקֵּשׁ לְהַשְׁמִיד לַהֲרֹג וּלְאַבֵּד אֶת כָּל הַיְּהוּדִים, מִנַּֽעַר וְעַד זָקֵן, טַף וְנָשִׁים, בְּיוֹם אֶחָד, בִּשְׁלוֹשָׁה עָשָׂר לְחֹֽדֶשׁ שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר, הוּא חֹֽדֶשׁ אֲדָר, וּשְׁלָלָם לָבוֹז. וְאַתָּה בְּרַחֲמֶֽיךָ הָרַבִּים הֵפַֽרְתָּ אֶת עֲצָתוֹ, וְקִלְקַֽלְתָּ אֶת מַחֲשַׁבְתּוֹ, וַהֲשֵׁבֽוֹתָ לּוֹ גְּמוּלוֹ בְּרֹאשׁוֹ, וְתָלוּ אוֹתוֹ וְאֶת בָּנָיו עַל הָעֵץ.)
וְעַל הַכֹּל, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, אֲנַֽחְנוּ מוֹדִים לָךְ, וּמְבָרְכִים אוֹתָךְ, יִתְבָּרַךְ שִׁמְךָ בְּפִי כָּל חַי תָּמִיד לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד. כַּכָּתוּב, וְאָכַלְתָּ וְשָׂבָֽעְתָּ, וּבֵרַכְתָּ אֶת יְיָ אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ עַל הָאָֽרֶץ הַטֹּבָה אֲשֶׁר נָֽתַן לָךְ. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, עַל הָאָֽרֶץ וְעַל הַמָּזוֹן.
On Purim: Bimei Mord’chai v’Esteir b’shushan habirah, k’she-amad aleihem Haman harasha, bikesh l’hashmid laharog ul’abeid et kol hayhudim, mina-ar v’ad zakein, taf v’nashim b’yom echad, bishloshah asar l’chodesh sh’neim asar, hu chodesh adar, ush’lalam lavoz. v’atah b’rachamecha harabim heifarta et atzato, v’kilkalta et machashavto, vahasheivota lo g’mulo b’rosho, v’talu oto v’et banav al ha-eitz. V’al hakol Adonai eloheinu anachnu modim lach’, um’var’chim otach’, yitbarach shimcha b’fi kol chai tamid l’olam va-ed. Kakatuv, v’achalta v’sava’ta, uveirachta et Adonai elohecha al ha-aretz hatovah asher na’tan lach’. Baruch atah Adonai, al ha-aretz v’al hamazon:
In the days of Mordechai and Esther, in Shushan, the capital, when rise up against them did Haman, the wicked, sought to destroy, to slay, and to exterminate all the Jews, from young to old, infants and women, on the same day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month which is Adar, and their possessions plundered. But You in Your mercy which is abundant, nullified his counsel and frustrated his intention and returned to him his recompense upon his own head, and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.
THIRD BLESSING: FOR JERUSALEM / HaBrachah HaShlishit: Boneh Yerushalyim
רַחֶם נָא, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל עַמֶּֽךָ, וְעַל יְרוּשָׁלַֽיִם עִירֶֽךָ, וְעַל צִיּוֹן מִשְׁכַּן כְּבוֹדֶֽךָ, וְעַל מַלְכוּת בֵּית דָּוִד מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ, וְעַל הַבַּֽיִת הַגָּדוֹל וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ שֶׁנִּקְרָא שִׁמְךָ עָלָיו. אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, אָבִֽינוּ, רְעֵֽנוּ, זוּנֵֽנוּ, פַּרְנְסֵֽנוּ, וְכַלְכְּלֵֽנוּ, וְהַרְוִיחֵֽנוּ, וְהַרְוַח לָֽנוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מְהֵרָה מִכָּל צָרוֹתֵֽינוּ, וְנָא אַל תַּצְרִיכֵֽנוּ, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, לֹא לִידֵי מַתְּנַת בָּשָׂר וָדָם, וְלֹא לִידֵי הַלְוָאָתָם, כִּי אִם לְיָדְךָ הַמְּלֵאָה, הַפְּתוּחָה, הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וְהָרְחָבָה, שֶׁלֹּא נֵבוֹשׁ וְלֹא נִכָּלֵם לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד.
Racheim na Adonai eloheinu, al yisra-eil amecha, v’al y’rushalayim irecha, v’al tziyon mishkan k’vodecha, v’al malchut beit david m’shichecha, v’al habayit hagadol v’hakadosh shenikra shimcha alav. Eloheinu, avinu, r’einu, zuneinu, parn’seinu, v’chalk’leinu, v’harvicheinu, v’harvach lanu Adonai eloheinu m’heirah mikal tzaroteinu, v’na, al tatzricheinu Adonai eloheinu, lo lidei mat’nat basar vadam, v’lo lidei halva-atam. ki im l’yad’cha ham’lei-ah, hap’tuchah, hak’doshah v’har’chavah, shelo neivosh v’lo nikaleim l’olam va-ed:
Have mercy, Lord our God, on Israel Your people, on Jerusalem Your city, on Zion the home of your glory, on the kingdom of the house of David, Your anointed one, and on the great and holy house which is called by Your name. Our God, our Father, look after us and feed us, give us a livelihood and support us, and provide a respite for us — a respite for us, Lord our God, soon, from all our troubles. And please, let us not be dependent, Lord our God, neither on a gift, nor on a loan from a human being, but rather on Your full, open, holy and generous hand, so that we should never feel embarrassed or ashamed.
לשבת רְצֵה וְהַחֲלִיצֵֽנוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ בְּמִצְוֹתֶֽיךָ וּבְמִצְוַת יוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי הַשַּׁבָּת הַגָּדוֹל וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ הַזֶּה. כִּי יוֹם זֶה גָּדוֹל וְקָדוֹש הוּא לְפָנֶֽיךָ, לִשְׁבָּת בּוֹ וְלָנֽוּחַ בּוֹ בְּאַהֲבָה כְּמִצְוַת רְצוֹנֶֽךָ, וּבִרְצוֹנְךָ הָנִֽיחַ לָֽנוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, שֶׁלֹּא תְהֵא צָרָה וְיָגוֹן וַאֲנָחָה בְּיוֹם מְנוּחָתֵֽנוּ. וְהַרְאֵֽנוּ יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ בְּנֶחָמַת צִיּוֹן עִירֶֽךָ, וּבְבִנְיַן יְרוּשָׁלַֽיִם עִיר קָדְשֶֽׁךָ, כִּי אַתָּה הוּא בַּֽעַל הַיְשׁוּעוֹת וּבַֽעַל הַנֶּחָמוֹת.
On Shabbat: R’tzeih v’hachalitzeinu Adonai eloheinu b’mitzvotecha uv’mitzvat yom hashvii hashabat hagadol v’hakadosh hazeh. Ki yom zeh gadol v’kadosh hu l’fanecha, lishbot bo v’lanuach bo b’ahavah k’mitzvat r’tzonecha uvirtzon’cha hani-ach lanu Adonai eloheinu, shelo t’hei tzarah v’yagon va-anacheh b’yom m’nuchateinu. V’hareinu Adonai eloheinu b’nechamat tziyon irecha, uv’vinyan y’rushalayim ir kod’shecha, ki atah hu ba-al hayshuot uva-al hanechamot:
Be pleased, Lord our God, to strengthen us through Your commandments, especially the commandment of the seventh day, this great and holy Shabbat. For this is indeed a great and holy day for You; to rest and be at ease, with loving concern for the command of Your will. So may it please You to grant us rest, Lord our God, with no trouble, or unhappiness, or weeping on our day of rest. And let us witness, Lord our God, the consolation of Zion, Your city, and the building up of Jerusalem, Your holy city, for you are the Lord of redemption, and the Lord of consolation.

הַזֶּה. זָכְרֵֽנוּ, יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ, בּוֹ לְטוֹבָה, וּפָקְדֵֽנוּ בוֹ לִבְרָכָה, וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנוּ בוֹ לְחַיִּים טוֹבִים. וּבִדְבַר יְשׁוּעָה וְרַחֲמִים, חוּס וְחָנֵּֽנוּ, וְרַחֵם עָלֵֽינוּ וְהוֹשִׁיעֵֽנוּ, כִּי אֵלֶֽיךָ עֵינֵֽינוּ, כִּי אֵל מֶֽלֶךְ חַנּוּן וְרַחוּם אָֽתָּה.

Zoch’reinu Adonai eloheinu bo l’tovah. Ufok’deinu vo livrachah. v’hoshi-einu vo l’chayim, uvidvar y’shuah v’rachamim, chus v’chaneinu, v’racheim aleinu v’hoshi-einu, ki eilecha eineinu, ki eil melech chanun v’rachum atah.
On Rosh Chodesh: Our God and the God of our forefathers may there rise, come, reach, be noted, be favored, be heard, be considered, and be remembered—the remembrance of us, and consideration of us; the remembrance of our forefathers; the remembrance of Messiah son of David, Your Servant; the remembrance of Jerusalem the City of Your holiness and the remembrance of Your entire people the Family of Israel before You for deliverance, for goodness, for grace, for kindness, for compassion, for life, that is good and for peace on the day of:

Remember us HaShem, our God, on it for goodness; consider us on it for blessing; and save us on it for life that is good. In the matter of salvation and compassion, have pity, be gracious, and be compassionate with us, and save us, for to You are our eyes turned, because O God a King gracious and compassionate are You.
וּבְנֵה יְרוּשָׁלַֽיִם עִיר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ בִּמְהֵרָה בְיָמֵֽינוּ. בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ, בּוֹנֵה בְרַחֲמָיו יְרוּשָׁלָֽיִם. אָמֵן
Uv’neih y’rushalayim ir hakodesh bimheirah v’yameinu. Baruch atah Adonai, boneih v’rachamav y’rushalayim. Amein
And may You build up Jerusalem, the holy city, rapidly in our lifetimes. You are blessed, Lord, who in His mercy, builds up Jerusalem. Amen.

Hu g’malanu, hu gom’leinu, hu yigm’leinu la-ad l’chein ul’chesed ul’rachamim ul’revach hatzalah v’hatzlachah b’rachah vishuah, nechamah, parnasah v’chalkalah, v’rachamim, v’chayim v’shalom, v’chol tov, umikol tuv l’olam al y’chas’reinu:
You are blessed, Lord our God, Sovereign of the world God who is our Father, our King, our Mighty One, our Creator, our Redeemer, our Maker, our Holy One, the Holy One of Jacob,
our Shepherd, the Shepherd of Israel the King who is good and does good to all who each and every day has been good, is good and will be good to us. He gave, gives, and will always give us
grace, kindness, and mercy, and respite, deliverance, and success, blessing and salvation, comfort, a livelihood and sustenance, and mercy and life and peace and everything that is good
and may He never let us lack anything that is good.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִמְלוֹךְ עָלֵֽינוּ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִתְבָּרַךְ בַּשָׁמַֽיִם וּבָאָֽרֶץ.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁתַּבַּח לְדוֹר דּוֹרִים, וְיִתְפָּֽאַר בָּֽנוּ לָעַד וּלְנֵֽצַח נְצָחִים, וְיִתְהַדַּר בָּֽנוּ לָעַד וּלְעוֹלְמֵי עוֹלָמִים.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְפַרְנְסֵֽנוּ בְּכָבוֹד.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁבּוֹר עֻלֵּֽנוּ מֵעַל צַוָּארֵֽנוּ וְהוּא יוֹלִיכֵֽנוּ קוֹמְמִיּוּת לְאַרְצֵֽנוּ.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁלַח לָֽנוּ בְּרָכָה מְרֻבָּה בַּבַּֽיִת הַזֶּה, וְעַל שֻׁלְחָן זֶה שֶׁאָכַֽלְנוּ עָלָיו.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יִשְׁלַח לָֽנוּ אֶת אֵלִיָּֽהוּ הַנָּבִיא זָכוּר לַטּוֹב, וִיבַשֶּׂר לָֽנוּ בְּשׂוֹרוֹת טוֹבוֹת יְשׁוּעוֹת וְנֶחָמוֹת.
Harachaman, hu yimloch aleinu l’olam va-ed.
Harachaman, hu yitbarach bashamayim uva-aretz.
Harachaman, hu yishtabach l’dor dorim, v’yitpa-ar banu la-ad ul’neitzach n’tzachim, v’yithadar banu la-ad ul’ol’mei olamim.
Harachaman, hu y’farn’seinu b’chavod.
Harachaman, hu yishbor uleinu mei-al tzavareinu v’hu yolicheinu kom’miyut l’artzeinu.
Harachaman, hu yishlach lanu b’rachah m’rubah babayit hazeh, v’al shulchan zeh she-achalnu alav.
Harachaman, hu yishlach lanu et eiliyahu hanavi zachur latov, vivaser lanu b’sorot tovot y’shuot v’nechamot.
May the Merciful One rule over us forever.
May the Merciful One be blessed in heaven and on earth.
May the Merciful One be praised for generation upon generation,
and may He be glorified through us forever and ever,
and may He be honored through us eternally.
May the Merciful One grant us an honorable livelihood.
May the Merciful One break the yoke from our neck
and lead us upright to our land.
May the Merciful One send a plentiful blessing on this house
and on this table at which we have eaten.
May the Merciful One send us Elijah the prophet who is remembered for good
who will bring us good tidings of salvation and comfort.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְבָרֵךְ אֶת (אָבִי מוֹרִי) בַּֽעַל הַבַּֽיִת הַזֶּה, וְאֶת (אִמִּי מוֹרָתִי) בַּעֲלַת הַבַּֽיִת הַזֶּה, אוֹתָם וְאֶת בֵּיתָם וְאֶת זַרְעָם וְאֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר לָהֶם,
Harachaman, hu y’vareich et (avi moriy) ba-al habayit hazeh, v’et (imi moratiy) ba-alat habayit hazeh, Otam v’et beitam v’et zaram v’et kol asher lahem
(when eating at one’s parents:) my honored father, the man of this house and my honored mother, the woman of this house — them, and their household, their children and everything that is theirs.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְבָרֵךְ אוֹתִי (וְאָבִי \ וְאִמִּי \ וְאִשְׁתִּי \וְזַרְעִי \ וְאֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר לִי)
Harachaman, hu y’vareich oti (v’avi v’imi v’ishti v’zari v’et koll asher liy)
(for one’s hosts:) the man of this house, and the woman of this house — them,
together with their household, their children and everything that is theirs.
אוֹתָֽנוּ וְאֶת כָּל אֲשֶׁר לָֽנוּ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנִתְבָּרְכוּ אֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ, אַבְרָהָם יִצְחָק וְיַעֲקֹב, בַּכֹּל, מִכֹּל, כֹּל, כֵּן יְבָרֵךְ אוֹתָֽנוּ כֻּלָּֽנוּ יַֽחַד בִּבְרָכָה שְׁלֵמָה, וְנֹאמַר אָמֵן.
otanu v’et koll asher lanu, k’mo shenitbar’chu avoteinu, avraham yitzchak v’ya-akov bakol, mikol, kol. Kein y’vareich otanu kulanu yachad. bivrachah sh’leimah, v’nomar amein:
…and all who are seated here, us, together with all that is ours, just as our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, were blessed totally so may He bless us, all of us together, with a complete blessing, and let us say, Amen.
בַּמָּרוֹם יְלַמְּדוּ עֲלֵיהֶם וְעָלֵֽינוּ זְכוּת, שֶׁתְּהֵא לְמִשְׁמֶֽרֶת שָׁלוֹם, וְנִשָּׂא בְרָכָה מֵאֵת יְיָ, וּצְדָקָה מֵאֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵֽנוּ, וְנִמְצָא חֵן וְשֵֽׂכֶל טוֹב בְּעֵינֵי אֱלֹהִים וְאָדָם.
לשבת הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יַנְחִילֵֽנוּ יוֹם שֶׁכֻּלּוֹ שַׁבָּת וּמְנוּחָה לְחַיֵּי הָעוֹלָמִים.
לר”ח הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְחַדֵּשׁ עָלֵֽינוּ אֶת הַחֹֽדֶשׁ הַזֶּה לְטוֹבָה וְלִבְרָכָה.
ליום טוב הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יַנְחִילֵֽנוּ יוֹם שֶׁכֻּלּוֹ טוֹב.
לר”ה הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְחַדֵּשׁ עָלֵֽינוּ אֶת הַשָּׁנָה הַזֹּאת לְטוֹבָה וְלִבְרָכָה.
לסוכות הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יָקִים לָֽנוּ אֶת סֻכַּת דָּוִד הַנּוֹפָֽלֶת.
הָרַחֲמָן, הוּא יְזַכֵּֽנוּ לִימוֹת הַמָּשִֽׁיחַ וּלְחַיֵּי הָעוֹלָם הַבָּא.
Bamarom y’lam’du aleihem v’aleinu z’chut, shet’hei l’mishmeret shalom, v’nisa v’rachah mei-eit Adonai utz’dakah mei-elohei yisheinu, v’nimtza chein v’seichel tov b’einei elohim v’adam:
On Shabbat: Harachaman, hu yanchileinu yom shekulo shabat um’nuchah l’chayei ha-olamim.
On Rosh Chodesh: Harachaman, hu y’chadeish aleinu et hachodesh hazeh l’tovah v’livrachah.
On Yom Tov: Harachaman, hu yanchileinu yom shekulo tov.
On Rosh HaShanah: Harachaman, hu y’chadeish aleinu et hashanah hazot l’tovah v’livrachah.
On Sukkot: Harachaman, hu yakim lanu et sukat david hanofalet.
Harachaman, hu y’zakeinu limot hamashi-ach ul’chayei ha-olam haba.
May a plea be heard on high, for them and for us, which will result in the security of peace.
So may we receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of our salvation.
So may we find favor and understanding in the sight of God and man.
On the Sabbath: May the Merciful One bring us the day that will be totally Shabbat
and rest in everlasting life.
On the New Moon: The Compassionate One! May He inaugurate upon us this month for blessing and goodness.
On Festivals: The Compassionate One! May He cause us to inherit the day which is completely good.
On New Year’s: The Compassionate One! May He inaugurate upon us this year for goodness and for blessing.
On the Feast of Booths: The Compassionate One! May He erect for us the booth of David which is fallen.
May the Merciful One make us worthy of the days of the Messiah and the life of the world to come.
בחול מַגְדִּיל (בשבת ור”ח ויו”ט וחול המועד וראש השנה מִגְדּוֹל) יְשׁוּעוֹת מַלְכּוֹ, וְעֹֽשֶׂה חֶֽסֶד לִמְשִׁיחוֹ לְדָוִד וּלְזַרְעוֹ עַד עוֹלָם. עֹשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם בִּמְרוֹמָיו, הוּא יַעֲשֶׂה שָׁלוֹם עָלֵֽינוּ וְעַל כָּל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִמְרוּ אָמֵן.
Magdil (On Shabbat and Yom Tov: Migdol) y’shuot malko, v’oseh chesed limshicho l’david ul’zaro ad olam: Oseh shalom bimromav, hu ya-aseh shalom, aleinu v’al kol yisra-eil, v’imru amein:
He brings about great victories for His king and shows kindness to his anointed one to David and to his descendants forever. He who makes peace in His high places, may He bring about peace for us and for all Israel, and say, Amen.
יְראוּ אֶת יְיָ קְדוֹשָׁיו, כִּי אֵין מַחְסוֹר לִירֵאָיו. כְּפִירִים רָשׁוּ וְרָעֵֽבוּ, וְדוֹרְשֵׁי יְיָ לֹא יַחְסְרוּ כָל טוֹב. הוֹדוּ לַייָ כִּי טוֹב, כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ. פּוֹתֵֽחַ אֶת יָדֶֽךָ, וּמַשְׂבִּֽיעַ לְכָל חַי רָצוֹן. בָּרוּךְ הַגֶּֽבֶר אֲשֶׁר יִבְטַח בַּייָ, וְהָיָה יְיָ מִבְטַחוֹ. נַֽעַר הָיִֽיתִי גַם זָקַֽנְתִּי, וְלֹא רָאִֽיתִי צַדִּיק נֶעֱזָב, וְזַרְעוֹ מְבַקֶּשׁ לָֽחֶם. יְיָ עֹז לְעַמּוֹ יִתֵּן, יְיָ יְבָרֵךְ אֶת עַמּוֹ בַשָּׁלוֹם.
Yru et Adonai k’doshav, ki ein machsor lirei-av: K’firim rashu v’ra-eivu, v’dor’shei Adonai lo yachs’ru chol tov: Hodu la-adonai ki tov, ki l’olam chasdo: Potei-ach et yadecha, umasbi-a l’chol chai ratzon: Baruch hagever asher yivtach ba-Adonai, v’hayah Adonai mivtacho: na-ar hayiti gam zakanti v’lo raiti tzadik ne-ezav, v’zaro m’vakeish lachem: Adonai oz l’amo yitein, Adonai y’vareich et amo vashalom.
Stand in awe of the Lord, you who are His holy ones, for there is nothing lacking to those who stand in awe of Him. Even young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His kindness is everlasting.
You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of all living. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and who makes the Lord the object of his trust. I was young and I have become old,
and yet I never overlooked a deserving man who was destitute, with his children begging for bread. May the Lord give strength to His people May the Lord bless his people with peace.
